Monday

16: And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17: And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Inspired knowledge. You know it's true but since no one else has told you and there is no big authority to back you up it's difficult to convince any one else.

How can we tell which of our ideas, especially the odd ones, are correct? The 'loony bins' of the world are full of people who are/were sure that they had the truth of something. Sometimes they are correct. When? How do you tell? Simon Peter had his truth confirmed for him and was put in charge of the whole ball of wax. Do we rely on his successors? How much?

I'm afraid I have too many questions this morning.
